Simply Solar Academy Comparing Solar Batteries What is a solar battery made of? There are a few different types of batteries that we cover in the lesson.

 

There is a 10 year warranty on an LG Chem battery, and that is provided because the battery is built to last. The lifespan of your solar battery, specifically the LG Chem Resu will depend on how often you use solar battery backup in your home. Some customers focused on a more off-grid lifestyle may use their battery once a day, while others may only use their battery as a back up and need it once or twice a year. If you are impacted by fire season or PG&E PSPS shut offs, like most of us in California,  you may also be utilizing your home resiliency system more.
