A custom solar system can be a great selling point for any new home. At Simply Solar, our solar installation process ensures that your customers receive the highest-quality system every time. Our process includes:
1. A Solar Evaluation
Every new home build is different, and our team will meet with you to discuss the size of the home, its electrical needs, and what you expect from the system. The new Title 24 changes associated with the 2020 Solar Mandate require that the solar system be large enough to provide all of the home’s annual electricity needs or more.
2. A Home Survey
Most residential solar systems are roof-mounted. Our team will examine factors like the intended size of the home, size of the roof, roof orientation, and possible shading issues from nearby structures to determine how well a roof-mounted solar system will work, and how large the system can be.
3. A Custom Solar Design
Once we determine if solar is a good fit, we will design a system that's tailored to the needs of the home. It will be engineered to supply at least the home’s annual electricity requirements, and it will use the highest-quality products from top solar equipment manufacturers to create a solar system that's reliable and efficient while reducing energy costs as much as possible.
4. Paperwork & Permitting
Getting a solar system approved can be a challenge. At Simply Solar, we will fill out the paperwork, acquire all the necessary permits, and order all the equipment and materials ahead of time to make the process go as smoothly as possible.
5. Solar Installation
Our in-house solar installation experts will install the solar panels, inverters, solar batteries, disconnects, and other components necessary to create a safe, reliable system while meeting or exceeding all code requirements.
6. Approvals
After our solar installation has passed our rigorous quality standards, we will schedule an inspection with the local building authorities so that we can receive official Permission to Operate or PTO.
7. Powering Up the Solar System
Our team will start the solar system up, explain its operation, and answer any questions you may have.
