Common Issues We Solve
What's Wrong With Your Solar?
We diagnose and repair every common (and uncommon) solar system problem. If you're not sure, that's fine — tell us what you're seeing and we'll handle it.
↗
Underperforming Panels
System producing less power than it should? Soiling, shading, micro-cracks, or wiring loss can silently rob 10–40% of output.
⚡
Inverter Failures
String inverters die after 10–12 years. Microinverters fail individually. We replace and upgrade SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, Fronius, and more.
📶
Monitoring Not Working
App not updating? Production data missing? Most often a router/firmware issue we fix in one visit — so you can spot future problems early.
🏠
Storm or Animal Damage
Squirrel-chewed wiring, dislodged panels, bird nesting under arrays. We secure, repair, and install critter guards to prevent it returning.
🛠
Roof Work or Re-Roofing
Need to re-roof but have solar in the way? We remove, store, and reinstall your system with new flashing and a fresh warranty.
🔋
Battery Add-On or Upgrade
NEM 3.0 made battery storage essential for new savings. We retrofit Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ, and SolarEdge batteries to your existing solar.
How It Works
Three Steps. No Surprises.
The same predictable process whether you have a dead inverter, an underperforming array, or just want a tune-up.
1
Tell Us What's Wrong
60-second form or a phone call. We'll ask a few questions to scope the right diagnostic.
2
We Diagnose On-Site
Most repairs identified in a single visit. You get a written estimate with parts, labor, and timing — before we touch a thing.
3
You Decide
No pressure. Approve, decline, or take the estimate elsewhere. If you proceed, most repairs finish within 7 business days.

Common Questions
Questions Before You Call?
If your question isn't here, just call us — (707) 248-3703.
How much does a typical solar repair cost?
The $299 system inspection includes a comprehensive diagnostic and a written report you keep. Common repairs (billed separately) range from $200 for monitoring/connection fixes to $2,500–$4,500 for inverter replacement. You'll get a written estimate before any repair work begins, so there are no surprises.
Do you service systems you didn't install?
Yes — about 60% of our service calls are for systems originally installed by someone else, including bankrupt installers like Sungevity, Sunrun, SolarCity, and dozens of small local installers. We've worked on every major panel, inverter, and racking brand.
How long does it take to get a service appointment?
Most appointments are scheduled within 5–7 business days. Emergencies (system completely offline, storm damage) get same-week priority when possible.
My system is under warranty. Can you still help?
Absolutely. We process manufacturer warranty claims directly with SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, SunPower, REC, Q Cells, and most major brands. If your original installer is out of business, we can pick up the warranty work.
What if you can't fix it?
If we can't repair the issue (rare), the $299 inspection still leaves you with a complete written report explaining what's needed — including warranty paths and reasonable replacement quotes — so you can pursue the right next step. You leave with answers either way.
What areas do you serve?
The entire Bay Area: Santa Rosa, Petaluma, San Jose, San Francisco, San Rafael, Novato, San Carlos, Oakland, Los Gatos, Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Livermore, Fremont, San Mateo, and surrounding communities. If you're not sure, call us.
